Calxa provides the option to add Comments to a cell or range of cells from within a Budget view. These Comments allow for collaboration between your Team members by creating threads that can be replied to or acknowledged, with a notification being sent to the Author of the original comment in each case.

Excel’s built‑in Notes and Comments only attach to a single cell and don’t provide the structure Calxa needs to match comments to ranges or preserve threads. Because of this limitation, Excel Notes and Comments aren’t included when importing and exporting budgets. Any existing Calxa comments in your budget remain unchanged during import.

Comments that have been marked as Reportable will be included in the Budget Comments report in line with report parameters being set for the Business Unit and Period the comment reflects.
