Why does KPI not calculate correctly?

Sometimes the KPI does not represent the correct value in line with a quick calculation of the report values, for example the Net Profit as a percentage of Income.

This can be a problem either in the calculation setting or more commonly, that the Account Group used in the KPI does not represent the same accounts as those in the Account Tree on the current report.

Review the KPI Account Group selection, this can be done easily by selecting the same Account Tree in the KPI Account Group window.

Bear in mind that an Account Group could be used in other KPIs, or reports with different Account Trees and fixing it in one place may break it in another. It may be that you need to construct a separate Account Group for this use.
