How do I restore a Budget or Scenario Snapshot?

TIP 💡Snapshots only restore to the Budget Version or Scenario Version they were created from. When you restore, all data in the version will be replaced with the Snapshot data only.

To roll back to an earlier Snapshot version of your Budget or Scenario, navigate to:

Budgets & Cashflow > Budget Tools > Budget Manager / Scenario Manager

  • Find the version you wish to restore

  • Click the overflow menu

  • Select Restore Snapshot

  • Choose from the list available for that version, click PROCEED

  • All current data in the Budget/Scenario will be replaced with the Snapshot data only

  • Confirmation of the Restore will show, click DONE

NOTE 💬Any Business Units; Accounts; Sub Accounts; or Metrics that have been deleted since the Snapshot was taken, will NOT be reinstated and those values will be lost. These will be reported with the narrative Success with Exclusions and details of what has been excluded.

DELETED Budgets or Scenarios

Snapshots are automatically taken if a Budget or Scenario in Calxa is Deleted. They can be restored and will be added back as the original budget name

  • Choose the Budget or Scenario Manager Screen

  • Click the overflow at the top, to the right of CREATE BUDGET / SCENARIO

  • Select the Budget/Scenario to be restored and PROCEED

  • Once the Restore has run it will confirm, and you can click DONE

  • See NOTE 💬 above regarding Exclusions

  • The Budget/Scenario will appear at the very end of your list in the Manager Screen

  • The Green Bell will show a Notification that the Restore has been successful
