Improved: Subscription Transfer
We’ve redesigned the Transfer Subscription process to reduce friction and improve clarity, especially during staff changes.
Now a 2-step guided flow: Owners and Co-Owners can initiate a transfer to any new or existing user. The recipient receives an email and is guided through a wizard to accept the subscription transfer.
Clearer role definitions: We've clarified the distinction between Owners and Billing Owners. While often the same person, these roles can be transferred independently. Owners manage users and settings, while Billing Owners handle payment and invoicing.
Flexible payment handling: Choose whether to retain existing payment details or enforce new ones at the point of transfer. The previous process always enforced a payment change without guidance, which could lead to missed invoices or confusion.
No longer tied to a single user: Because both Owners and Co-Owners can initiate the request, transfers are more resilient to staff changes and less prone to roadblocks.
