Bind Data

Each tile type allows you to bind data in a similar way, however each tile will have different data properties. This section describes the data properties specific to a Pies dashboard tile.

Values

Values represent the data you want to display in each pie segment.

Binding values to the pie tile

Arguments

Arguments represent the categories that will define each pie segment.

Series

Contains the data item whose values will be used to label separate pies in the tile. If no series is provided only one Pie per value will be displayed. When you add a series, the number of pie elements is multiplied by the number of series values.

Style

The Pie dashboard tile allows you to select whether diagrams should be painted as pies or donuts.

Labels

Each pie can display data labels that contain descriptions for pie segments and provide tooltips with additional information.

Option

Description

Data Labels

Specifies which values are displayed within data labels.

Tooltips

Specifies which values are displayed within tooltips.

Data Labels Position

Specifies whether to display data labels inside or outside pie segments.

Layout

If you've added a series to the pies tile and therefore have a number of pies arranged on one tile, you can specify the number of columns or rows by which gauges are arranged.

Define layout option for displaying multiple pies

The following modes are available.
