Chart Labels Number Formatting

In Calxa charts you'll find a generic numbers format applied to the series labels or legend. Since KPIs can be a large range of numbers including ratio, percentages or dollar values you may want to improve the default number formatting from 4 decimal places to match the particular KPI you'll me reporting.

In this video we'll take a look at the series labels number formats, but the logic can be applied to chart legends and other chart labels.

Text Pattern

In this video you'll see that the Text Pattern property is updated to show different properties and formats on the chart labels. The list below shows available placeholders and a description.

Pattern

Description

{S}

Displays the name of the series. Budget or Actual for example.

{A}

Displays the series point argument. The monthly or quarterly period for example.

{V}

Displays the series point value. The numeric value of each series point.

{VP}

Pie, Donut or Stacked series only. Displays series point value as a percentage.
