With the Column settings in the Dynamic Report Builder, you will see there is an option for minimum column widths. This means that if there is additional space the columns will be increased proportionally to fit an A4 page, either as a Portrait or Landscape display, or an A3 Landscape as required by the number of columns.

Available space

After allowing for the Margins (which are fixed) the pages have total available widths as follows:

A4 Portrait 1800

A4 Landscape 2670

A3 Landscape 3900

Update Column minimum sizes

The minimum width setting allows for the column sized to be reduced, so that you can, for example include 8 data columns in a Portrait Report if required.

The aim is to get the sum of the Minimum sizes across all the columns, including the Account Column to be within the Available space as noted above. For example if you have 8 columns plus the Account column, at the default settings:

Account Column 600 + (8 columns x 175) = 2000

This will push your report to a Landscape orientation. Changing the minimum widths to reduce the total under 1800 will restore this to a Portrait orientated report.

Additionally, it could be that you have long account names, and want to increase the account column minimum size, this may need to be offset with decreases in the other columns to accommodate.
