All dynamic templates will contain the exact same criteria, regardless of the Report type (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet etc) chosen.

Dynamic templates include the basic Report Criteria as seen in the preconfigured templates. The following is an explanation of the additional criteria options and how they should affect the generated report.

Display Settings

Display number units

This determines units to display for report values that are not formatted as percentages.

  • Full (default): standard number format

  • Thousands: displays values as thousands

  • Millions: displays values as millions

Decimal precision

This determines the number of decimal places to display

  • 0 Decimals: standard number formatting.

  • 1 Decimal: adds a decimal to the number units above

  • 2 Decimal: adds 2 decimals to the number units above

Display percentage as

This determines the number formatting on percentages. In this case we're only providing the number of decimals.

  • 0 Decimals: displays as 10%

  • 1 Decimal: displays as 10.3%

  • 2 Decimals: displays as 10.27%

Negative format

Determines the negative mask that will be applied to the text format string

  • (1,234,567): standard number formatting.

  • -1,234,567: adjust formats to show minus sign instead of brackets

Header Sub Totals

In Dynamic Templates, the default placement for Sub Totals is at the bottom of the section. By clicking the drop down you can change this to be at the top of the section, inline with the header in the reports if preferred.

The Preconfigured reports in Calxa have Header sub totals in line with the Header names at the TOP of a section.
