Dynamic Template Management

Managing your Templates using Folders and Actions in the Template Select Screen

Dynamic templates allow you to build report templates with personalised column layouts. The Dynamic Templates menu provide options for creating and organising these templates.

The Dynamic Templates that you create within Calxa can be managed through: Reports > Builder > Template Manager > Dynamic templates

The initial folder is Dynamic Templates you can rename that group if you wish

  • Click on the Cog

  • Select Rename Group

  • Insert your cursor in the box and overtype the name

  • Confirm by clicking RENAME

Create a new Template Group

  • Click CREATE GROUP

  • Give the Group a Name

  • Add the Position of Before or After

  • Choose the existing group to order around

  • + ADD GROUP

To reorder the Groups

  • Click on the Cog for any of the Groups

  • Select Reorder groups

  • Drag the Groups using the up/down arrows to the correct place

  • SAVE NEW ORDER

Add a Template

  • Click CREATE TEMPLATE and work through the fields

    • Report Type - Choose the from the drop down list

    • Template Name - Give the Template a name

    • Report Title - This will be displayed in the Report

    • Description - Insert a Description or any notes you wish to add

    • Template Group - Set the Template Group from the drop down

  • Click CREATE TEMPLATE

To move the Templates between Groups

  • Click the overflow menu (...) on the template

  • Choose Edit Properties

  • Select the Template Group from the drop down

  • Confirm by clicking SAVE PROPERTIES

Import a Dynamic Report Template

  • Click the overflow menu at the top right of the screen

  • Choose Import

  • In the dialogue box Search for the file to import

  • Choose the File and click Open

  • For the Template Group click the dropdown to choose an existing group, or Create a new template group
