To add Business Units into your Dashboards you will need to:

Create the Data Source - specific settings for Business Units

Adding Business units creates another dimension to the Tile, so you need to consider what you are wanting to report for the Business Units, eg Income / Expenses / Net Profit and the time frame, Report Month / YTD these will all be reflected in your Data Source. As you progress, review the Preview panel on the right to check each area of the settings are correct and SAVE CHANGES:

  1. Navigate to Dashboards > Dashboard Tools > Data Sources

  2. Expand the organisation and budget section

    1. Choose Dynamic to be able to update the Organisation on the Dashboard

    2. Choose Custom to set the criteria for the Tile

  3. Click the Business Unit drop down

    1. For Dynamic selections, choose an existing Business Unit Tree

    2. Custom setting allows you to choose between an individual Business Unit or Headings or a Business Unit Tree

  4. Set the Accounts you wish to be able to report on, include Calculation Rows for Net Profit

    1. This will require a Filter on the item once constructed to set to Net Profit

  5. Configure the Dates to include the number of periods to report on, this example will return Year To Date values:

  6. In the Dashboard Manager, select your Dashboard and Add the Data Source to it.
