Most reports in Calxa use a preset template where the template defines the required columns. Some reports will however have Preset templates and a Dynamic configuration where you specify the required number of columns as part of the report criteria.

Dynamic configuration

Dynamic period configuration lets you define a dynamic number of periods to appear in multi-period reports

  1. Select Dynamic configuration

Dynamic configuration toggle on multi-period reports

  2. Select the Period type: Monthly, Quarterly or Annually

  3. Select the Number of periods

    1. Fixed

      1. Months, Quarters or Years: Choose a fixed number of periods (12 months for example)

      2. End period: Sets a fixed end period

    2. Relative end period

      1. Relative to report month: Sets an end period relative to the report month

      2. Months from Financial Year Start: sets an end period relative to the financial year

      3. Months from Calendar Year Start: Sets an end period relative to the calendar year

Note: 💬 some dynamic column configurations may not use a standard page size. This is still perfect for viewing on screen or exporting to PDF and Excel but may not be suitable for printing.

Preset templates

Tip: 💡use preset templates to ensure reports print to standard page sizes such as A4 & A3.

Preset template are limited to the options provided however they are guaranteed to use standard page sizes such as A4 Portrait, A4 Landscape and A3 Landscape. These reports will print exactly as you see in the report preview on screen.

Select Preset template and choose from the available preset configurations such as 12 Months, 24 Months, 4 Quarters etc.
