The default for the preset dashboard tiles like Income Last 6 Months, Expenses Last 6 Months, is to include the current month. This suits those who want to see month to date progress but not everyone.

Follow these directions to customise your own variation on the dashboards.

Copy the Data Source

Go to Dashboard Tools, Data Sources and find Movements Last 6 Months. Make a copy:

The new Data Source will be added to the end of the Default List, select the new Data Source and name it something like Movements Prior 6 Months by clicking in the name and over typing.

Configure the Date range

In your new data source, expand Configure which dates to include.

Change the range to start at Relative -5, end at Relative 0. Confirm on the right panel that the correct months are now selected. Save your changes.

Copy the default dashboard and add your Data Source

In Dashboard Manager, select the dashboard you want and Make a Copy. Name it something like Overview to Last Month and save your changes.

Then click on Add Data Source to attach your new data source.

Edit the Dashboard Tiles to use the new data source

Go to Builder and select your new dashboard.

On each of the tiles you want to update, click the tile, then the Bindings cog. You’ll see the option to change the data source right at the bottom.

Select the new data source, click OK and then Save Changes on the dashboard. Repeat for any other tiles you want to change.
