The Unspent Budget report compares your year-to-date profit and loss actual figures to the full year budget. It also shows how much of your budget is unspent/unearned and the percentage of your budget already spent/earned.
This report runs based on Financial Year by default, however you can also run the report on a Calendar Year basis with a few simple steps. The same logic can be applied to other reports based on financial year such as the Budget Summary report.

Steps to run Unspent Budget report by Calendar Year
- Click on the Organisation Management button on the General tool bar.
- Select your organisation from the Organisation list on the left. Look at the Details section on the right side and change the Last Month in Financial Year to December. Click Save.
Note: the Last Month in Financial year value will reset automatically when you next perform an Organisation update.
- Now go to the Reports screen by clicking on the Reports button on the General tool bar.
- Select the Unspent Budget report, set your report criteria and click on Display Report.
